How to Find UsGetting to Villa Edelweiss is straightforward and inexpensive, with plenty of alternatives and options. Direct European/EEC Flights Flying into Salzburg Airport. Fly from most European Cities with a lot of budget airlines such as Ryanair, Easyjet, AirBerlin offering great deals. Direct International Flights Flying into Munich International Airport. Hire a car at the airport, or take a train from the airport via Munich-Ostbahnhof, where you catch a connection directly to Golling-Abtenau railway station. Distances and times from airports:
Travelling from Munich on the motorway A8, or from Salzburg Airport, take the southbound motorway A10 (signs to Graz/Villach). Then take the Exit 28 to Golling-Abtenau, and continue on the Bundestrasse B162, which is the main Lammertal road (direction Abtenau) to your holiday destination.
In Abtenau – getting to the Villa EdelweissAs you approach the village of Abtenau from Salzburg look for the Billa supermarket on the right hand side. Take the first turning on the right immediately after the store. Drive up the short hill for 150meters. Villa Edelweiss is the first drive on the right. Take the right hand side of the drive, past the front of the main villa, to the back garden and the two apartments.
Motorway Toll- Vignettes (All Cars)Toll stickers are required on all vehicles on Austria's motorways!! The following fees apply: A 10- day vignette for cars and vehicles up to and including 3.5t is E7.60 A two month vignette for travel to and through Austria is E21.80 for private cars and motorhomes up to 3.5t. These vignettes must be applied on the inside of the windscreen on the upper middle or left hand side, so that it is clearly visible from the outside. Motorists who do not posses the appropriate sitcker will have to pay a minimum fine of Eu220 if stopped by the police. Police controls are very frequent during the tourist season.
