LocationGetting to Villa Edelweiss is straightforward and inexpensive with plenty of cheap flights from the UK to Salzburg, Graz, Klagenfurt, Innsbruck or Munich plus great deals on car rental & Airport Transfers. Distances and times from airports:
Travelling from the direction of Munich on the A8 or from Salzburg Airport, take the A10 (signs to Graz/Villach), then take Exit 28 to Golling-Abtenau, and continue on the main Lammertal road (direction Abtenau) to your holiday destination.
In Abtenau – getting to the Villa EdelweissAs you approach the village of Abtenau from Salzburg look for the Billa supermarket on the right hand side. Take the first turning on the right immediately after the store. Drive up the short hill for 150meters. Villa Edelweiss is the first drive on the right. Stay on the left hand side of the drive for the main villa. Take the right hand side of the drive past the main villa to the back for the two apartments. Motorway Toll- VignettesToll stickers are required on all vehicles on Austria's motorways and highways!! Stickers or Vignettes can be obtained from the Austrian Automobile Club as well as garages and post offices. Please note that the stickers are also available at the border with neighbouring countries. The following fees apply: A 10- day sticker for cars and vehicles up to and including 3.5t is E7.60 A two month sticker for travel to and through Austria is E21.80 for private cars and motorhomes up to 3.5t. These stickers must be applied on the upper middle or left side of the inside windscreen. Motorists who do not posses the appropriate sitcker will have to pay a fine of E220 if stopped by the police.
