Welcome to Villa EdelweissVilla Edelweiss is a magnificent family chalet in the pretty Austrian village of Abtenau, with views of the Dachtstein Massif, the Postalm high pastures and Tennengebirge mountains from every window.
For designer outlets, sight-seeing and shows, take a short half hour drive into Salzburg, home to Mozart and the 'Sound of Music'. It is also an easy drive to Bad Ischl, the birthplace of Lehar and Operetta. Many famous Ski resorts (Schladming, Obertauern and Kitzbuehl for example), and the spectacular lakes of the Salzkammergut are all within easy driving distance.
Abtenau is a popular ski village for families and is at the centre of the extensive Dachstein-West ski region. It caters for all ability levels and interests. It offers an excellent ski-school and childrens ski-kindergarten, and guided off-piste ski-touring and cross country skiing for the most experienced skier.
Villa Edelweiss is the perfect holiday location for famies and groups, in summer and winter . We welcome couples, families groups and parties from 2 to 8 persons.
All accommodation is of an exceptionally high standard and enjoys the benefit of Wellness rooms which include a sauna and indoor swimming pool.
Villa Edelweiss offers a very convenient base to enjoy skiing, walking, mountain-biking, climbing and a whole range of outdoor activities in comfort. Guided rafting, canyoning, snow-shoe walking and ski touring are easily organised.
